I see it everyday in many forms. As a professional of both psychology and theology, I see the power of the media it has to produce lies in the form of truth. It's like fool's gold. Books, movies, tv programs seduce with the power of Medusa. Medusa is the demon veiled in mythology, who had the power to transform into a beautiful woman. She would seduce sailors through her beauty, hook into their souls through the lust of the eye. Her deceptive appearance would lure the sailors into dangerous rocks and hidden reefs, then their ships and lives would be destroyed. Once she lured them, her appearance would change to a hideous hag whose hair was actually venemous snakes with which she poisoned her prey.
Things of the Occult can be just like that! It looks good but it poisons the victim's life and can even cause Christians to end up shipwrecked. It is true! God's word says so and I have experienced this truth first hand.
Growing up in New Orleans, I was surrounded by witchcraft and didn't recognize it as such. It is a much accepted part of the culture. Fortunetellers, voodoo, ouiji boards and paganism was and is commonplace. I did not know of the dangerous deception of these things. Nor, did I know, that what seemed like harmless folklore along with ignorant curiousity of dabbling with these things, brought curses upon the victim's life.
Culture, media and society are powerful weapons that creates open doors to steal the souls of mankind. They can cause destruction and needless suffering all the while appearing as harmless fun to some. However, once your eyes are opened, once you have discovered that even in ignorance Satan exacts a huge price on the life of the unknowing victim you want the world to know.
I want you to know these things and I want to ask you if you may be entertaining Satan as an angel of light and you are unaware? I am deeply alarmed by the Twilight series, Harry Potter, Halloween, Yoga, Crystals, the New Age and other poisonous forms of the occult that the media is masquerading much like Medusa to seduce our children, our society into the world of curses and destruction. to be continued......
